About the Role

The role of the Marketing Strategist is to partner with the Director, EMEA Marketing, local Country Marketing Strategists and client-facing colleagues in EMEA to plan and implement marketing campaigns and projects that support opportunities for client growth and retention. Part of the success of this role will be in how well the candidate works with our analytics function to clearly demonstrate the value added by integrated marketing campaigns and new strategic marketing projects. This role will work across our wealth businesses across EMEA.

This role is part of a global marketing function with locations in Boston, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo that includes local teams dedicated to content creation (writing/editing/proofreading), digital marketing management (SEO and PPC expertise, personalization, email strategies), design (digital and print), marketing operations and events. In addition, we have centers of excellence in Boston for Brand and Marketing Analytics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Director, EMEA Marketing to create ongoing campaign strategy, plans and then execute integrated marketing campaigns (from advertising creative to social to webpages and related assets such as videos and articles).
  • Campaigns must be flexible enough to flow from brand positioning through to individual priority products for each of the five markets where we have paid media budget.
  • Ownership of multi-country strategic projects (e.g. Wealth Dialogues survey and related reports).
  • Ownership and maintenance of corporate marketing (materials, messaging) aligned to Brand team in Boston.
  • Management of relevant vendors – media agency, advertising agencies and production houses as relevant.
  • Partner with other experts within the marketing team and external vendor (design, editorial, social, events, project management) on all relevant aspects of advertising creative deliverables and programs.
  • Coordinate and manage translation and production of advertising creative and related content.
  • Experience of setting campaign KPIs and ensuring accurate measurement and reporting to these.
  • Budget management including support of annual planning, monthly tracking and invoice management.
  • Frequent collaboration and communication with equivalent team members in Americas and APAC regions.
  • Perform additional marketing duties (e.g. materials update & operational support) as needed to support the marketing team and enhance overall productivity.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in brand and campaign marketing, ideally with most of within the financial industry.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and professionally with creative teams, senior executives, internal business partners, external clients and external vendors.
  • Proven experience in managing creative agencies.
  • Strong budget management experience.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, driving delivery to tight deadlines.
  • Data mindset combined with the curiosity to keep progressing campaign measurement frameworks.
  • Experience in asset management marketing in particular understanding of the intermediary market and wealth management channel.
  • Strong communication skills in English– verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity and exhibit grace under pressure.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and working on creative solutions.
  • Team player orientation, a positive attitude and terrific work ethic.
  • Previous experience in workflow, creative production and digital marketing tools a plus.
