About the Role
The “Funds Group” sits within the broader Client Platform, and is responsible for the end to end fund lifecycle spanning the full range of Wellington’s product offerings worldwide, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives strategies. Wellington Management sponsors over 300 commingled investment vehicles globally with AUM of over $150 billion. Within Funds Group this role will predominantly focus on the ‘global’ businesses (“WMF Global”), and as of 30 June 2026, WMF Global comprised of just over 70 funds domiciled predominantly in Luxembourg (UCITS and AIFs) and Ireland (UCITS), as well as in Cayman, Singapore and China, with total assets of circa US$50 billion. This role sits within the Fund Product team, and the role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing group, which develops and oversees a variety of commingled funds offered to a diverse set of Wellington’s clients from over 50 countries worldwide.
Responsibilities
- This role will primarily focus on leading the coordination efforts around the creation, oversight, and maintenance of regulatory documentation for the WMF Global business.
- The role will work very closely with the EMEA Funds Legal team and other Fund Product team members, as well as investment teams and subject matter experts across the business.
- This role will be the point-person for creating or maintaining ‘best in class’ legal and regulatory documentation for various fund activities covering our multiple fund structures and domiciles.
- In addition, the individual may support members of the Fund Product team in the development of funds and related change activity and other ad-hoc strategic or regulatory projects.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Take a leading role in project managing the end-to-end process for the prospectus cycles for our various fund ranges and domiciles.
- Lead and evolve this process for efficiencies as we expand into new distribution markets.
- Establish consistency and quality across the various fund offering documents, including shareholder notices.
- Enhance the coordination and communication around this process with our impacted stakeholders.
- Own the relationship with external vendors responsible for the registration and publication of the prospectus, shareholder notices and other fund documentation.
- Coordinate periodic internal communication summarising upcoming changes and implementation items to the various stakeholder groups impacted by a new fund and fund changes.
Other projects/responsibilities
- Provide general fund expertise and act as subject matter expert to internal stakeholders for client-specific queries.
- Lead or assist with ad hoc Fund Product projects.
Qualifications
- An individual likely to have spent +3 years working within asset management or related industry.
- Preference for individual who has hands on experience with legal or regulatory documents and content creation.
- Individuals with project management experience. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify the complex.
- A desire to evolve as an individual contributor to the team and over time expand the role to take on more responsibility for components of the fund lifecycle process.
- Collaborative and positive mindset, and good inter-personal skills.
