About the Role
As part of the continued growth of our London office, we are recruiting a Business Associate (BA) to join our Client Platform. This individual will be an integral member of the Global Wealth Management team supporting business activities with prospects and clients across the UK & European sub-advisory markets. Proficiency in French is essential! The position is located in London and is ideal for recent graduates eager to start their careers in a dynamic, client-facing role.
The Business Associate will coordinate various functions to service clients across different entity types. They will support Business Development and Relationship Management objectives by working with existing clients and prospects. The core role involves ensuring client and/or consultant needs are met promptly and accurately, supporting business development efforts, maintaining and updating client CRM data, analyzing opportunities, and coordinating information requests. Attention to detail, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and solid investment knowledge are critical.
The Client Platform aims to strengthen and grow relationships globally, serving a diverse range of institutional investors. Our professionals are specialized by client type and geography, ensuring a thorough understanding of prospects\’ and clients\’ needs through proactive and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare client and prospect presentation materials, briefing books, and meeting notes.
- Participate in client, consultant, and prospect meetings and conference calls.
- Analyze and respond to inquiries on portfolio, product information, investment guidelines, market trends, regulation, and fees.
- Act as a point of contact within client organizations.
- Coordinate client communications.
- Support organization of client roadshows and review meetings.
- Maintain client data in internal systems.
- Qualify and coordinate RFIs and RFPs, ensuring proper responses.
- Develop understanding of Wellington Management\’s investment approaches.
Ideal Candidate
- Speak French fluently (must-have!)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Interested in a career in investment management
- Relevant client service experience, preferably in investment management (e.g., internship)
- Good understanding of capital markets and investment products
- Self-motivated, curious, and enthusiastic
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous
- Collaborative team player
