If you’re an experienced, compassionate nurse (RGN/RMN) looking to improve the lives of people with long-term care needs, we can offer you a rewarding career at Care Centre. We’re seeking a qualified registered nurse to lead and support our care team at the care home. You’ll receive comprehensive training to help you adjust to nursing in a care home setting and ongoing development to help you progress your career.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Valid RGN NMC Registration.
  • Previous experience within a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • A clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation.
  • Strong leader, highly clinically skilled, well organised, able to take the lead.
  • Great written and verbal skills for communication and understanding.
  • Previous experience of PCS and electronic care planning.
  • Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
  • Flexible approach to the rota to meet the needs of the home.

How You’ll Make a Difference

By providing the highest quality of nursing care, you’ll be helping to improve and sustain our residents’ quality of life. Leading and supporting a care team, you’ll:

  • Provide high quality nursing care to our residents.
  • Be responsible for clinical assessment of residents, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated, involving residents and users.
  • Promote the rights, interests, needs and choices of carers and people with dementia in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
  • Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies, supporting our residents.
  • Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents/carers and the multi-professional team including situations where difficulties in comprehension occur.
  • Maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback appropriately and as required, to carers, and persons with dementia as appropriate, and referring agencies and professional colleagues.
  • Utilise and ensure others utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
  • Integrate into practice current knowledge of dementia and caring, informed by research and other forms of evidence.
