A rare opportunity has arisen to join The Barns at Wellington as the Operations Manager. This high-profile facility offers premium fitness, wellbeing and padel tennis services, all set within the pristine countryside of the Duke of Wellington’s Estate on the Hampshire/Berkshire border.
This unique position will allow the right candidate to manage top-tier facilities, committed to delivering exceptional member service to a discerning clientele. You must have the Right to Work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
THE ROLEAs the Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business. You will manage a small team, and be the point of contact for members and guests, providing exceptional service at all times. You will be leading this from the front, exceeding the expectations of members and guests.
A key part of the role will be to continue to grow the membership base, court and studio hires, along with management of the treatment rooms, while maintaining the levels of service provided to the current members and guests. All operational matters will fall within the remit of this role, including compliance, both legal and industry specific.
THE PERSONHaving gained sound knowledge and experience in boutique and studio fitness, and/or racket sports, you will have a good financial understanding, be driven and enthusiastic, with a keen eye for detail. You will be passionate about the industry and proactive in maximising business opportunities from the existing facilities.
As the Operations Manager, you will have considerable autonomy to run the business day-to-day whilst having the benefit of the support of the wider Estate.
HEALTH & SAFETYTo support and implement safe working practices and observe the Employer’s Health & Safety Policy in all procedures and methods. Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with health, hygiene, quality and safety standards.
