We are seeking to appoint a Postgraduate Teacher of Classics in September 2026 to join our flourishing Classics Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career teacher or postgraduate specialist to develop their practice within a supportive, scholarly and forward-thinking academic environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of Classics across the 13–18 age range, delivering engaging and academically ambitious lessons that foster curiosity, independence and a deep appreciation of the ancient world. Teaching will primarily involve Latin, with opportunities to support Classical Greek and Ancient History in line with departmental strengths and experience. You will join a department known for its collaborative culture, strong examination outcomes and commitment to enrichment beyond the classroom. The role includes contributing to the wider life of the College through tutoring, co-curricular activities and participation in the rhythms of a seven-day boarding school. Staff are encouraged to share their interests, whether through societies, lectures, trips or super-curricular extension, and to support pupils with their academic pathways and aspirations.
