We have an exciting opportunity within our Health Centre who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursing Sister.
About the role:
You will join on a part time, permanent basis (18 hours per week, 33 weeks per year). The postholder will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care to pupils within College using a multidisciplinary approach. To deliver first aid to staff and visitors within College and to comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):
- Report to the nurses on duty at handover at 07.50 to liaise on any pupil care
- General care of any persons seeking medical advice or help
- To provide first aid and emergency care as necessary for any pupil or adult on site
- To be able to recognise a sick and deteriorating young person taking the appropriate action
- To be aware of mental health challenges that may affect young people
Person Specification:
- Registered first level nurse
- 5 years of post-registration nursing practice
- Aware of Safeguarding requirements
