LAMDA programme administration offers a rewarding part-time opportunity to help pupils flourish in the performing arts through thoughtful coordination.
Wellington College is a world-leading independent boarding and day school. We are a dynamic, values-led community where ambition and collaboration drive excellence across academic life, the arts, and the wider school community.
Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, our 400 acre estate is a unique and inspiring place to work.
You will play an important role in our school community, working alongside dedicated colleagues to ensure the smooth and effective running of Wellington. Your contribution will directly support pupils, staff, and visitors every day, and you will have access to development opportunities that help you grow in your career.
Wellington College is seeking an organised and approachable LAMDA Programme Administrator to join its Drama and Performing Arts department on a fixed-term maternity-cover basis. This part-time position is for 15 hours per week, working 42 weeks per year. It offers a valuable opportunity to support pupils’ creative and expressive development through the smooth delivery of individual and small-group LAMDA tuition.
Reporting to the Director of Drama, you will provide the dependable administration behind a busy programme, working closely with visiting LAMDA teachers, pupils, parents and colleagues across the College. Your work will help ensure that tuition arrangements are clear, records are reliable and pupils can participate confidently alongside their wider College commitments. You will bring care and accuracy to enrolments, programme updates, attendance information, lesson schedules and room arrangements, responding constructively when plans need to change.
A significant element of the role will be supporting LAMDA examinations. You will help ensure that entries and candidate information are prepared accurately and on time, while coordinating the practical arrangements that enable examination days to run well. Clear communication with pupils and families will be important, as will maintaining accurate information about participation, outcomes and pupil progress. You will also work with finance and administrative colleagues where appropriate, and keep the Director of Drama informed of relevant developments.
The successful candidate will be confident using Microsoft Office and digital administrative systems, with excellent attention to detail and a calm, methodical approach to competing priorities. You will communicate professionally and sensitively with young people and adults, handle personal information with appropriate discretion, and establish positive working relationships throughout the College community. Experience in a school, examinations or performing arts setting would be welcomed, as would an interest in encouraging pupils’ involvement in the performing arts.
This role will suit someone who enjoys bringing order, responsiveness and thoughtful support to a pupil-centred programme. In doing so, you will make a meaningful contribution to an inclusive and ambitious performing arts environment at Wellington College.
Wellington College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You must have the right to work in the UK.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds. We promote an inclusive and supportive environment and are an equal opportunities employer.
