Estates & Compliance role supporting a proactive safety culture across a complex school estate, working collaboratively to promote safe, compliant environments. Wellington College is a dynamic and values-led community where professional expertise plays a vital role in supporting outstanding education. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, our 400 acre estate provides a distinctive and inspiring place to work.

We are seeking a full-time Health & Safety Officer to join our Estates team, supporting the effective management of health, safety and fire standards across Wellington College, Wellington College Prep and the Wellington Health & Fitness Club. This role plays an important part in maintaining safe, compliant and well-managed environments for pupils, staff, visitors and contractors, while contributing to the College's wider commitment to best practice and continuous improvement.

Working closely with colleagues across Estates and the wider school community, you will support the delivery of health and safety initiatives, assist with risk assessment processes and contribute to the monitoring of compliance across a diverse and operationally complex estate. The role involves engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, helping to embed practical and proportionate safety arrangements into day-to-day operations, events and projects.

You will also support incident reporting, investigations and record-keeping, contributing to accurate compliance documentation and meaningful reporting. Alongside this, you will work collaboratively with colleagues in HR, Estates and operational teams, supporting training activity, fire and emergency procedures and health-related processes that promote wellbeing and safe working practices across the College.

This is a varied and hands-on role, well suited to someone who enjoys applying health and safety principles in real-world settings, building positive working relationships and contributing to a proactive safety culture within a busy school environment. You will be supported with training, development and opportunities to grow your skills, and you'll work alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent service to every member of the Wellington community.
