Set in 32 acres of stunning countryside nestled in the heart of Sandhurst, Wellington College Prep is one of the leading Prep Schools in the UK with state-of-the-art facilities. We have an exciting opportunity within our Catering Department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Service Assistant. You will join on a Part Time (17.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 4pm till 7.30pm), Term Time (34 weeks per year) basis and in return we will offer you a competitive salary and benefits package which includes a free meal whilst on duty, generous holiday, subsidised membership to the Wellington Health & Fitness Club, contribution to our personal pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced Maternity / Paternity scheme, cycle to work scheme, fee remission, free parking and access to a health cash plan.
About the role: Catering is an integral part of school life and strives towards excellence in its service provision. Key responsibilities include:
- To assist with the food service within the dining hall.
- To assist with all aspects of the preparation and presentation of food service areas to the required standard.
- Washing up with the use of an industrial dishwasher.
- The understanding and action all children with food allergies, intolerances and dietary requests.
- To ensure the taking of food temperatures for all meal services.
Person Specification: You must have a good understanding of English and be able to follow instructions.
