Situated on the edge of the Wellington College estate, the Health & Fitness Club provides a welcoming setting for members and staff.

We are seeking a Club Lounge Lead to support the smooth day-to-day operation of our licensed Club Lounge, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and atmosphere. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a customer‑focused hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering a positive member experience.

The Role

As Club Lounge Lead, working part time for 25 hours per week, you will act as the senior person on duty during allocated shifts, supporting the effective running of the Lounge and ensuring service standards, safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times. You will provide a warm and professional welcome to members, guests and visitors, contributing to a relaxed and sociable environment that enhances the wider Health & Fitness Club experience. Working closely with colleagues, you will support opening and closing procedures, operate tills and handle cash in line with agreed processes, and assist with stock control and routine equipment checks. You will work confidently within established procedures, using sound judgement to address routine operational issues and elevate concerns appropriately when required. The role does not include line management or budget responsibility, but does require reliability, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility while on duty.

About You

You will have experience in a customer‑facing food and beverage, hospitality or leisure setting, with a clear understanding of good customer service and service standards. Calm, organised and adaptable, you will be able to manage priorities during busy service periods while maintaining a professional and welcoming approach.
