We have exciting new opportunities and are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Cleaners to join the team in our Domestics department. As well as an attractive salary and an excellent opportunity to further develop, our staff benefits include:

Staff benefits are based on a full-time role and will be available / pro-rated as applicable. Salary: £26,000 based upon a Full time equivalent. Salary will be pro-rated for part time.

About the role: The Domestic Services Department is essential to the smooth running of Wellington College and the Wellington Health & Fitness Club, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained safely and to the highest standard. The Department is comprised of Cleaning, Housekeeping, House Matron, Laundry and Logistical Services staff members and constantly strives to achieve excellence in its service provision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Follow the Cleaning Specification for each designated area of Wellington College and the Wellington Health & Fitness club, which will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, removal and disposal of rubbish, replacing / refilling of dispensers, dusting and damp dusting all areas within offices, sports areas and changing rooms and toilets, using where appropriate, powered equipment and chemicals.
- Moving items of furniture and / or equipment as necessary to facilitate cleaning.
- Comply with all Colleges policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
- Ensure keys are issued and returned within the policy and procedure of the Domestic Services Department.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Be flexible to the needs of the College and amend in certain circumstances the hours of work.
- Cover weekend cleaning requirements on a rota of not less than 1 weekend in 4 all year round.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
