The Sous Chef will manage the provision and day to day delivery of a 24-hour, first-class dining and hospitality experience within Wellford Gardens that supports it being a home where people love to live. You will make sure that the catering provision contributes fully to the delivery of a home where people love to live. The main duties include managing the catering team to be produce top quality food and that they are trained and developed. In the absence of the Executive Chef you will be required to cover their duties.
You will have excellent food knowledge and culinary skills, the ability to stay calm in a high pressure environment and strong leadership skills to motivate your team to deliver first class food for your residents. Please see some of the essential criteria of the role below:
- 706-2/3 or equivalent or a professional Cookery Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Level 3 Food Safety Qualification.
- A minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience working within a fine dining catering environment.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary ingredients and practices.
- Experience of using process and planning to deliver consistent high-quality food and standards of hospitality.
- Financially astute with regards to food costings and budget. management
- Full driving licence and access to vehicle.
