The Company Behind The Role

Our client is a specialist research consultancy where great work and a genuinely enjoyable culture go hand in hand. The team is small enough that everyone matters, collaborative enough that no one's left to figure it out alone, and ambitious enough that there's always something fresh to work on.

They're looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of qualitative and quantitative pharmaceutical research projects - from the first internal briefing through to final delivery - working across a portfolio of pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of Qual and Quant research projects - managing timelines, coordinating fieldwork, and making sure everything lands on time and to a high standard.
  • Identify and brief the right research suppliers for each study, negotiating on cost and quality, and keeping performance on track throughout.
  • Handle the commercial side - reviewing cost submissions, validating invoices, and contributing to budget tracking and P&L conversations.
  • Keep compliance at the front of your mind, particularly around adverse event reporting and data protection across every project you run.
  • Stay ahead of potential problems - identifying issues early, proposing solutions, and working with senior colleagues to keep projects on track.
  • Be a great collaborator - communicating clearly with clients, suppliers, and colleagues, and helping to bring more junior team members along with you.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven Project Delivery - You've run multiple Qual and Quant pharma research projects from kick-off to debrief - independently and to a consistently high standard.
  • Supplier Savvy - You know how to find the right partner for a study, write a solid brief, and hold vendors to account on quality, cost, and turnaround.
  • Commercial Awareness - You're comfortable with costings, negotiation, and invoice review — and you understand why the numbers matter beyond just the spreadsheet.
  • Compliance - You understand AE reporting obligations, data protection requirements, and what 'compliant by default' actually looks like in practice.
  • Clear Communicator - You write well, speak plainly, and know how to adjust your style depending on whether you're talking to a client, a vendor, or a junior colleague.
  • Excel fluency - Trackers, costings, recruitment grids - you build them properly, maintain them consistently, and keep them up to date.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • A collaborative, people-first culture that values thoughtful work over volume-driven delivery.
  • The opportunity to stay close to both clients and the research.
  • Exposure to a wide range of therapeutic areas and global projects.
  • A leadership team that invests in professional growth, mentoring, and long-term career development efforts.
