The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy, and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health. These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be working in the Global Events Team within the Corporate Affairs/Communications Department, reporting to the Global Events Manager. The Global Events team support events across the organisation that contribute to Wellcome’s objectives and ambitions. To live up to the priorities expected of Wellcome all events have participant wellbeing and health & safety at their core, the events are as sustainable as possible, and we aim to create a diverse and inclusive culture for all. The team is responsible for organising in person, hybrid and virtual events; from conferences and meetings to networking workshops and multiday events, held at our Gibbs or Wellcome Collection buildings, and at any external venues around the UK and worldwide.
What will I be doing?
The Global Events Officer will be working in partnership with the Global Events Manager and Global Events Organisers, host areas, external event partners and suppliers to enable Wellcome to achieve and celebrate its mission by supporting the team when organising a portfolio of low to high complexity events.

Minimum Criteria:
- Previous experience working in an administrative or coordination role within an office or corporate environment.
- Experience supporting the delivery of events, conferences, or meetings, including logistics and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to demanding timelines.
- Ability to work independently while building effective working relationships and communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
