To achieve this, we support uptake and impact through goal-driven engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including public, private, and community organisations across health-impacting sectors.As a Senior Research Manager in the Climate & Health team, you will play a key role in putting health at the centre of climate action. Working within the Climate Impacts and Adaptation sub-team, you will help build a strong evidence base on how climate change affects health and identify adaptation actions that can protect communities worldwide.You will manage a portfolio of research activities designed to generate actionable insights and ensure these findings inform policy and practice. Your work will span individual project delivery, strategic portfolio planning, and building partnerships that connect science with real-world impact. Key accountabilities: Shape and manage a coherent, impact-driven portfolio of research activities focused on climate impacts and adaptation in health. Oversee the delivery of individual projects, ensuring they remain on track, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives. Lead on wider portfolio-level planning, including budgeting and resource allocation, to maximise efficiency and impact. Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure projects generate knowledge that directly informs policy and practice. Support the growth of a diverse, transdisciplinary climate and health ecosystem by fostering connections across research, innovation, and decision-making communities. Communicate complex research findings clearly to varied audiences, ensuring Wellcome is a trusted and influential voice in climate and health.
