We are seeking a Project Officer to join our Science Policy Labs Team. The role involves managing, reporting and communicating a growing portfolio of science policy projects, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement and effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
- Utilise best practice project management tools and techniques to support project delivery, ensuring adherence to standards and efficient outcomes.
- Continuously monitor and report on the progress, issues and outcomes of projects to maintain transparency and drive success.
- Manage the governance and control quality of project delivery, maintaining high standards and consistency across all initiatives.
- Analyse and troubleshoot project challenges, identifying optimisation opportunities to enhance project efficiency and efficacy.
- Foster and maintain external and internal relationships crucial for successful project delivery, facilitating collaboration and resource alignment.
- Take ownership of the risk and control environment within your jurisdiction, ensuring accountability for the quality and compliance of outputs.
- Champion continuous improvement of team processes and delivery culture.
- Represent the team and communicate our work effectively to internal audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects and knowledge of effective project management processes and practice.
- Experienced in the use of project management tools and systems and a good understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements in project delivery.
- Familiar with project management IT systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) alongside familiarity with common systems such as Monday.com, Salesforce and Oracle.
