Where will I be working?
You'll lead our in-house creative studio, bringing together expertise across design, video production, branded content and events. Working across Corporate Affairs, and the wider organisation, you'll help shape how Wellcome communicates its ideas and engages audiences around the world. You'll work closely with senior leaders, providing strategic creative direction while leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver ambitious, audience-centred work that supports Wellcome's mission and strengthens our global reputation.
What will I be doing?
You'll set the creative direction across our design, video, content and events portfolio, ensuring every output is strategically focused, creatively excellent and aligned with our brand. You'll lead integrated campaigns and flagship events, oversee external agencies and production partners, and coach a high-performing multidisciplinary team. As a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, you'll help shape briefs, challenge constructively and ensure creative work delivers meaningful organisational impact.

You'll be equally comfortable setting creative strategy and providing hands-on direction, with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders in a complex organisation. You'll combine exceptional creative judgement with commercial awareness, thrive in collaborative environments and be passionate about using creativity to communicate ideas, build reputation and create memorable audience experiences.
Minimum Criteria:
- Significant senior creative leadership experience spanning design, video production, branded content and events.
- Proven experience leading, developing and inspiring multidisciplinary creative teams while maintaining exceptionally high creative standards.
- Demonstrable success influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships across complex organisations.
- Experience delivering integrated creative campaigns and high-profile events from strategic concept through to successful delivery.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling and audience-centred creative, with experience managing agencies, budgets and complex creative programmes.
