We are looking for a Funding Information Adviser to join our team. You will be working in the Research funding team within Discovery reporting to the Funding Information Manager. The Funding Information team plays a vital role in ensuring that everyone engaging with Wellcome’s funding processes receives clear, accurate and timely guidance. They work with colleagues and applicants by providing expert advice on grants systems, funding schemes, policies and processes, and by responding to a wide range of internal and external queries.
What will I be doing?
- Ensuring colleagues and applicants have access to clear, high quality grant information, offering guidance on application processes and funding schemes.
- Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of our grants systems, business processes and funding schemes.
- Providing clear, accurate advice on grants systems, policies and processes, and responding to queries in line with agreed service standards.
- Logging queries consistently, using this information to identify issues, inform improvements and contribute to effective problem-solving.
- Designing, delivering and maintaining high-quality training – including classroom, virtual and e-learning modules.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our grants systems by helping to diagnose issues, test and implement changes.
- Playing an active role in projects, promoting an inclusive culture, exercising good cost control, managing risks, and working flexibly when needed.

Minimum Criteria:
- Experience working on a Helpdesk, systems support or other customer related function.
- High level computer literacy including knowledge of database management.
- Experience in training design and/or delivery to help colleagues and users understand and use our systems.
