The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health. These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

We are looking for a Planning and Results Adviser to join our team. You’ll be part of a new team, focussed on enabling Wellcome to maximise its impact by effectively planning for and executing its mission.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

The role reports to the Planning and Results Lead and will be a key member of the Organisational Planning team as part of the wider Strategy Department. Within the Strategy Department, the Organisational Planning team enables Wellcome to deliver its mission by aligning priorities, resources and delivery, specifically leading identification of organisational objectives, overseeing strategic resource allocation, embedding systematic performance and continuous learning, and strengthening programme and portfolio management.

You will be a critical member of the Planning and Results sub-team leading Wellcome’s integrated organisational planning cycles, with a focus on aligning objectives, plans, budgets and key results, as well as embedding systematic performance reporting and learning.

What will I be doing?

You’ll provide analytical insight and practical support across our multi-year, annual and quarterly planning cycles, helping to bring clarity to organisational priorities and strengthen performance through effective use of OKRs. By shaping evidence and translating data into meaningful insights, you’ll play a key role in enabling Wellcome to optimise resources and deliver on its mission.
