The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.
You will be part of the Experience Design Team within the Digital and Technology department reporting to a Senior User Researcher in the Experience Design team and joining our supportive community of UX practitioners. Responsibilities
- Planning and running user research across our digital products and services to uncover the behaviours, needs and motivations of our users, using a variety of methodologies.
- Developing and maintaining a user research programme that is sustainable and receptive to the pace of agile/lean product development.
- Recruiting participants from a diverse range of communities, including people with access or other specific needs.
- Generating insights that feed into all stages of product development, from discovery to ongoing iteration, in line with product roadmaps.
- Working with teams to synthesise clear and actionable findings and helping product managers to assess the risks and value of product and service features.
- Utilising qualitative and quantitative data to create a rich picture of user behaviour and develop ways of evaluating user experience of products and services.
- Ensuring long-term value from our user research by developing our knowledge base and actively contributing insights to build our overall understanding of our users.
- Coaching other user‑centred practitioners to assure and improve research practice.
- Being an active part of our user experience community, including presenting at meetups and leading on aspects of practice.
Qualifications
- Experience across all aspects of user research, including recruitment, moderating sessions, synthesising and presenting findings.
- Ability to advocate effectively for user research and comprehensive, user‑centred practices.
- Experience of planning and delivering research, using both quantitative and qualitative methods, to uncover motivations and behaviours.
- Experience communicating findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, in a variety of ways to suit the audience.
- Good knowledge of multidisciplinary digital teams and agile practices.
We understand that our colleagues have commitments and personal interests outside of work and we strive to build a flexible working environment, in which people can perform at their best. We are currently working 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) from our Euston Road offices with the remaining 2 days from home.
