We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our COSMIC team at Wellcome Sanger Institute on a 12 month Contract.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the Head of Product & Delivery across the portfolio and be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will support the planning for the projects taking into account user requirements and seeking to secure resources to deliver them. You will be expected to arrange project meetings and to be able to capture key outcomes, decisions, actions, and risks for follow up with the project team.
You will be responsible for:
You will coordinate COSMIC project delivery activities within the team and with our stakeholders. Schedule and document meetings, planning and ensure that tasks and plans are delivered at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner. You will manage schedules (meetings and reporting), project documentation and communicate progress.
About You :
For this role, you will work alongside the Head of Product & Delivery with scope to also support the Product Management activities. You will be required to engage and collaborate with many other teams, and so good communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Essential Technical Skills:

Science degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent)

Ability to work in a changing environment and demonstrate agile working approach

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and schedule effectively

Demonstrate an ability to provide, receive and record both routine and highly complex communications, electronically, orally and in writing

Understanding of the common and fundamental project management processes e.g., risk management; change control, schedules etc.

A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and also the G-Suite of applications

Working in cross discipline teams in a matrix management environment
