A little bit about us

Here at Wellburn, our lovely family run business operates a little differently to a lot of other businesses. We don't hire robots. We hire people. Everyone is different, and we love that. Our recruitment policy is as much to do with personality as it is about qualifications. We need you to fit in and be part of the team. Part of the family.

About the role

The Handyperson is key to the welfare of our residents at Wellburn Care by ensuring high standards of general maintenance to the care home and surrounding areas. We are looking for a handyperson who is self-motivated and can prioritise their own workload with a good general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery, and household electrical fittings. Our Handyperson will have a keen eye to identify general maintenance work that is required to keep our homes safe and as comfortable as possible for the residents. You will be responsible for all minor repairs within the home as well as reporting defects, undertaking Health and Safety checks (training will be given) and maintaining the appropriate records.

This role is subject to a full enhanced DBS check, in line with Wellburn Care Homes Safeguarding Policy.

*We are not currently able to offer sponsorship for this role.
