Elmswood Academy is an innovative new online provision specialising in supporting children and young people with SEND, including SEMH needs. Elmswood Academy operates in strategic partnership with Wellbrook Education, an experienced provider of independent special schools supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Maths Teacher to join our founding staff team and help shape a positive, inclusive and ambitious learning environment for pupils who require a more personalised approach to education.
This role is ideal for a teacher who:
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Can build positive relationships with young people
- Understands barriers to learning and engagement
- Can deliver engaging and adaptive online lessons
- Has experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare pupils for GCSE/IGCSE examinations
- Support pupil engagement, progress and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals
- Contribute positively to the development of the provision
