Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety policy at all times and operate and promote the development of quality standards and procedures taking ownership of tasks and to see new improved ways of doing things.
- Consistently adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety policy and actively promote the development of quality standards and procedures.
- Take ownership of tasks and proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Plan and organise the core Engineering Training program in line with pre‑agreed schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers in developing the most cost‑effective and beneficial training programs.
- Plan and organise training dates that consider shift patterns, holidays and manufacturing programs.
- Provide and/or organise one‑to‑one mentorship for Technical Apprentices daily.
- Conduct and oversee apprentice progress reviews, ensuring all agreed actions are implemented.
- Work closely with the Senior Projects Engineer in developing beneficial training programmes for the Projects Team.
- Partner with the Lead Setters to enhance technical training capabilities through the creation and delivery of key bespoke training programmes centred around known areas of development.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of Technical Training courses for use across Operations and Engineering.
- Perform frequent inspections of the Tooling Stores ensuring adequate availability of machine tooling across all manufacturing equipment.
- Oversee and further develop the Technical Tooling process used at Welland Medical.

A degree of flexibility is needed, and the job holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and which will be appropriate to the level of the role.
