THE ROLE
Our Brand Manager, Colour is responsible for driving market share growth and net revenue performance across the Wella Professionals Colour portfolio in the UK&I, combining best in class product & category management with impactful marketing & brand activation. This role reports to the Associate Director, Brand and works cross functionally to ensure brand colour plans are executed with excellence across the marketing mix.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product & Category Management
- Own the performance of the Wella Professionals Colour portfolio, delivering market share and net revenue targets through strong activation and execution.
- Manage the delivery of new product launches, including local market sizing, launch readiness and cross functional alignment from concept through to launch (Go Gate process), alongside base business activation planning in line with annual objectives and portfolio priorities.
- Manage the total UKI Colour product portfolio, including performance analysis, forecasting and identification of growth or optimisation opportunities. Ensure that all changes to portfolio (innovations, renovations or discontinuations) are communicated in a timely manner to cross-functional teams.
- Work with Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) and Finance to support and implement pricing recommendations for new products and portfolio changes.
- Partner with Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) to understand category trends, growth drivers and customer needs and how this impacts brand activation.
- Marketing & Brand Activation
- Own the development and execution of local brand plans in line with the global calendar, maximising sales and profit across the UK market.
- Define campaign objectives, KPIs, channel mix, flighting and budget allocation in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Input asset matrixes using global toolkits and oversee asset adaptation, review and approval across all platforms and formats.
- Work closely with Trade and Customer Marketing to ensure brand plans, key visuals, claims and POS are effectively deployed across channels.
- Collaborate with owned & earned team to ensure all creators, ambassadors and brand partners have a strong brand fit and consistent execution.
- Approve branded assets for brand led and internal events, and support deployment at key business moments (e.g. conferences, sales meetings).
- Data Reporting & Analytics
- Manage marketing budgets to ensure gross margin and marketing investment objectives are met, with full ownership of purchase order management and budget tracking.
- Track brand performance through regular reporting, using initiative and performance dashboards to monitor delivery against targets.
- Contribute to campaign post activity reviews, identifying key results, insights and learnings to continuously improve future performance.
- Present clear, relevant brand performance and activation updates to senior stakeholders through monthly business reviews (MBR).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- You have at least 2 years' experience in a Brand/Product Management role in a local operational marketing environment.
- You have experience in strategic planning; you can effectively contribute to and influence higher level strategy.
- You are digitally & commercially savvy.
- Your organisation skills are excellent; you can prioritise effectively and work on short deadlines.
- Your communication skills are superb, both written and verbal; you are comfortable delivering presentations to senior leaders.
Desirable:
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, or retail industries.
