Role Purpose / Summary
This Director is the technical, hands‑on execution lead for the Professional (Salon) business across Wella and ghd. The leader stands up and runs cross‑functional growth squads, lands lighthouse use cases, operationalizes experimentation (A/B, MVT, incrementality), and scales platform capabilities (CDP, personalization, CRM, retail media, commerce, content/GenAI) to deliver measurable revenue, conversion, retention, and LTV gains across regions. The role ensures privacy‑by‑design and alignment with enterprise governance while turning Pro commercial goals into shipped journeys, features, and continuous performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch & Run Pro Growth Squads: Stand up and operationalize Salon Pro Enablement and adjacent squads with clear OKRs tied to CMO/CFO revenue outcomes; staff squads across Product, Eng, DS/ML, UXR, and Marketing/Commercial. Deliver and scale lighthouse journeys for Pro and DTC/eRetail conversion packs; drive week‑over‑week performance improvements.
- Embed A/B, MVT, incrementality testing and causal measurement across media, CRM, content, pricing/promo; partner with Measurement and Data & AI to implement standardized MMM/MTA and readouts that guide budget shifts.
- Activate Platform Capabilities for Pro: Build with platform owners to deploy CDP, journeys, personalization, server‑side tagging, attribution, commerce UX optimization, retail media enablement, and the GenAI content factory for Pro brands/markets; ensure markets configure not rebuild.
- Regionalization & Field Enablement: Translate global capabilities into regional execution for Wella/ghd Pro—partner with markets to localize journeys, content, offers, and salon programs within global guardrails and shared platforms. Execute the near‑term plan: server‑side tagging, consent hardening, experimentation launch, CDP quick wins, CRO pack and CRM uplift; progress to industrialized MMM/incrementality and retail media tech rollout.
- ghd Alignment & KPI Rigor: Integrate with ghd delivery/ops and data roadmaps; align on KPI frameworks, MTTD/MTTR, release quality, and analytics modernization to ensure consistent measurement and performance across Wella + ghd.
