We are looking for a Channel Marketing Executive to join the UK&I team for the Consumer Retail Channel focusing on OPI and the expansion of Professional Hair brands Wella, Sebastian and Nioxin into our fastest growing channel, Retail (highstreet, department stores and QVC). It is therefore a crucial role for the future of the brands in UK&I.
This person will be in charge of coordinating channel marketing planning and executions whilst collaborating with the channel leaders and team. Reporting into the Channel Marketing Manager- Consumer Retail, this role will design the strategy and tools to raise shopper awareness and conversion of our brands and champion our ongoing efforts to develop bespoke communication tools for key customers and drive sell-through. For this role we require someone with a strong background in customer or category marketing and merchandising to support this dynamic part of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Marketing
- Support, develop and execute 360 Marketing campaigns to both drive engagement with our community and raise awareness & conversion
- Supporting the sales team with their requests, including but not limited to: customer requests and customer meetings, as well as presenting new innovations and collections
- Briefing internal design teams / external partners on asset and material requirements
- Support forecasting and analysis of new launches
- Translate insights / category data into action to support retailer sell-ins
- Build relevant brand toolboxes for Go To Market launches specifically designed for key accounts including in store and online
- Refining activity to improve ROIs so successes can be implemented and shared with the business
Merchandising
- Support in establishing best in class in store execution for key customers, mastering shopper drivers and ensuring brand activation in key touch points (both in store and online)
- Support in ensuring right planograms and range assortments are implemented and communicated.
- Ongoing management of temporary and permanent in store stands, displays and secondary sites
- Manage day-to-day communication with key partners and agencies to ensure assets, layouts and branding are all aligned to our brand equity
Cross Functional working
- Be the conduit between Brand Marketing and Sales Teams to ensure brand strategy is applied, customised and executed with excellence
- Building strong working relationships across the entire business to enhance the performance of the UK business: Global Divisions, UK Sales, Education and Brand Marketing Teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of customer marketing
- Involvement in category management preferred
- Proven success working with all sizes of businesses
- P&L management experience
- High level of numeracy, with strong analytical skills
- Excellent organisation capabilities, ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure on short deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team player with ability to effectively listen, contribute and influence
- Experience in strategic planning and ability to effectively contribute to and influence higher level strategy
- Confident in presenting to large groups and influencing at all levels of the organisation
- Strong commercial acumen
- Sound knowledge of Excel and Word and PowerPoint packages
- Proactive, results oriented, flexible approach to work
- Able to demonstrate a strong passion for Wella products & the Wella vision and values
