Overview of the role

The New Propositions Manager – Private Services is responsible for identifying, shaping and developing new private healthcare service opportunities that align with strategic priorities and drive future growth. This role leads the end-to-end proposition development process — from ideation through to go-to-market — ensuring new services are commercially viable, operationally deliverable, and customer-centric. Working cross-functionally, the role builds a strong pipeline of opportunities, develops robust value propositions, and ensures new services are launched quickly and effectively.

Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Identify, design and develop new Private Service propositions aligned to strategic priorities and growth ambitions.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new service opportunities, with clear prioritisation and timelines.
  • Actively seek and develop partnerships with external providers, suppliers and organisations to expand the service portfolio.
  • Build networks with service suppliers and partners to unlock innovative propositions and new revenue streams.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing services through external partnerships (e.g., ICBs and other healthcare organisations).
  • Define clear value propositions, including customer offer, commercial model and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new services.
  • Ensure propositions are customer-led, differentiated and aligned with market trends and needs.
  • Own and maintain governance frameworks for new service initiation, ensuring appropriate approvals, risk management and alignment to business standards.
  • Be responsible for taking new service ideas to market quickly and efficiently, balancing pace with quality and compliance.
  • Partner with proposition, operations, marketing, supply chain and risk teams to ensure services are viable, achievable and aligned to divisional priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally across multiple service propositions simultaneously, ensuring effective coordination and delivery.
  • Support and coordinate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different service areas to deliver proposition development and launch.
  • Track adoption, engagement and early performance of new services, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Lead proposition enhancements based on customer feedback, store insight and performance data.
  • Continuously refine and evolve services to improve customer experience, uptake and commercial performance.
