LOCATION: Well Life Clinic – Oxted, Cobham and St Albans COMMITMENT: FULL-TIME RATE: Competitive PATHWAY: Private GP, secondary care and ADHD ROLE FOCUS: Designing clinical services - taking new services from business care through to clinical go-live About Well Life Clinic Well Life Clinic is a CQC-registered private GP practice with clinics in Oxted and Cobham in Surrey as well as St Albans in Hertfordshire. We are a growing healthcare organisation delivering high-quality care across Private GP, specialist secondary care and ADHD services. As we continue to expand, we're investing in the clinical leadership, governance and service design capabilities that enable sustainable, safe growth. We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Clinical Programme Director to join our Chief Medical Officer directorate and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our clinical services. The Opportunity This is a newly created role focused on the design, development and continuous improvement of clinical services, rather than the day-to-day operational management of them. You will lead the clinical development of new and existing services, ensuring they are built on robust pathways, evidence-based protocols and strong governance frameworks. Working closely with clinical, operational and commercial colleagues, you will take services from initial concept and business case through to successful clinical launch and ongoing quality assurance. This role would suit a clinician, particularly a GP, who enjoys system design, innovation and strategic thinking, and who understands that strong clinical governance is an enabler of growth, not a barrier to it. Key Responsibilities Clinical Service Design Design and develop patient pathways across Private GP, secondary care and ADHD services. Create and maintain clinical specifications, policies, protocols and operating procedures. Support the ongoing review and optimisation of clinical models of care. Governance and Quality Lead the governance cycle across service lines, including: Clinical audit, Incident reporting and learning, Risk management, Policy review, CQC evidence and compliance Ensure governance processes support continuous improvement and organisational growth. Work with clinical leaders to identify and implement quality improvements. New Service Development Lead the clinical workstream for new service launches. Develop clinical aspects of business cases and service proposals. Define workforce requirements, clinical standards and operational models. Support implementation through to clinical go-live and post-launch evaluation. Strategic and Commercial Development Work alongside senior leadership to assess opportunities for service growth. Contribute to capacity planning and workforce modelling. Evaluate demand, utilisation and service performance metrics. Ensure clinical quality, operational efficiency and commercial objectives remain aligned. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with clinicians, operational teams and external partners. Build strong relationships across all clinic locations. Act as a trusted adviser to the Chief Medical Officer and leadership team on clinical programme development. Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to shape a role with significant influence and visibility as the organisation grows. You'll work directly with senior leadership, help define the future of our clinical services, and play a key role in ensuring that growth is underpinned by outstanding clinical quality and governance. If you're excited by the challenge of building services, improving pathways and creating the foundations for scalable, high-quality healthcare, we'd love to hear from you. What We're Looking For We're looking for a GP who can help shape how clinical services are designed, governed and brought safely to life as Well Life Clinic grows. This new role sits within our Chief Medical Officer directorate and focuses on the design side of clinical services rather than the day-to-day running of them: developing pathways, specifications and protocols; strengthening audit, incident learning and CQC evidence; and taking new services from business case through to clinical go-live. It will suit someone who enjoys service design, is comfortable with the commercial thinking behind capacity models and business cases, and sees clinical governance as the foundation for safe, sustainable growth. Registered GMC healthcare professional with current UK registration. Significant clinical experience, ideally as a GP. Experience designing, developing or improving clinical services. Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance and healthcare regulation. Experience developing clinical pathways, protocols and policies. Commercial awareness and understanding of healthcare service delivery. Our Values Everything we do at Well Life Clinic is guided by three core values. We look for these qualities in everyone who joins our team. Proactive: Take initiative. Mistakes are acceptable when made with integrity. Humble: Celebrate success without arrogance. Resolute: Persist through setbacks and keep moving forward. How to Apply We would love to hear from you.
