Temper Restaurants is looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. We’re known for bold, fire-led cooking, quality ingredients and lively restaurants. This is a great opportunity for a confident chef ready to take the next step and support the smooth running of a busy kitchen.
What you’ll do
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Help lead, motivate and train the brigade during service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety and health and safety requirements.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, preparation and minimising food waste.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs.
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
- A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to stay calm during busy services.
- Good organisation, communication and teamwork.
- A genuine interest in developing as a chef and supporting others.
- Food safety knowledge; a relevant food hygiene qualification is an advantage.
