Hours/Days: Working Days Monday and Friday. With working hours up to 37.5 hours each week (Early starts on set days, e.g. 7am). Additional hours may be required to meet current business needs.
Contract Terms: Permanent Contract. Subject to successful 6 month probation period.
The Role: We are recruiting for the role of Packer to provide support to the production operation and wider business activities in our professional production kitchen based in Deeside, North Wales. To achieve this, we require someone with the ability to follow instructions, maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. All our products are packaged by hand, so no experience is operating equipment/machinery is required. We require the post holder to ensure the safe preparation, packaging and labelling of food products with training being provided.
Key Tasks (Training will be provided):
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment throughout the working day.
- Prepare and pack foods and label products for future and immediate use, to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Compliance with both company and food safety & hygiene procedures (e.g. the completion of checklists, product weight checks and temperatures controls).
- Complete internal stock checks, by correctly storing, rotating and distributing stock to instruction.
- Efficient removal of kitchen waste.
- Deep cleaning of work area, including equipment.
- Ad hoc support to the production & delivery teams.
- Notify line manager of any concerns and reporting damaged and/or faulty equipment.
Person Specification
Essential:
- The ability to work independently, as well as follow instructions.

- Strong work ethic & be able to work as part of a team.
- The ability to work at pace across a working day.
- Flexibility to work additional hours or on other premises when required.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a food manufacturing, production facility.
- Food Hygiene qualifications (Level 2 Food safety, HACCP).
