This role has been created due to the success of the Mobile Shop project across North Wales. The Mobile Shop is an exciting and expanding programme that continues to establish itself within communities across North Wales with the aim to improve access to fresh, affordable food for local residents. In partnership with the Riverside Foundation, Well-Fed is now extending its reach to communities in Greater Manchester enabling even greater access to good food in communities. We are recruiting for the role of Mobile Shop Coordinator to support the operational activities of the shop and wider business activities.

To perform effectively, the role requires a full UK Driving Licence, excellent customer service skills, the ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean & safe working environment, and the use of IT equipment (iPad/smart phone).

Responsibilities
  • Drive the Mobile Shop (3.5 tonne vehicle) to predetermined locations, informing the line manager of any travel disruptions or delays in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and build customer rapport and relationships, obtain feedback and report to the line manager.
  • Ensure promotional materials are advertised and distributed to communities.
  • Process customer payments using a card reader and input order & pre-order data into software Good Till.
  • Complete internal stock checks, correctly storing, rotating and distributing stock to instruction.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment throughout the working day.
  • Comply with company and food safety & hygiene procedures (e.g. waste removal, completion of checklists, product weight checks and temperature controls).
  • Notify the line manager of any concerns and report damaged and/or faulty equipment.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the business as required.
Person Specification (Essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as follow instructions.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work activities.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work at pace across a working day.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
