Do you have the experience and passion to lead a team in supporting older people live their lives to the fullest? Can you change the mood for someone struggling with the day? We are looking for experienced Senior Care Assistants who have a passion for elderly care to join our team at Park View Gloucester.
At least a year's experience of leading a team is essential. You will be a confident communicator and will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities when overseeing the care team.
Shift Patterns:
- Days: 8am - 8pm, 8am to 2pm, 2pm to 8pm
- Working pattern - Every Other Weekend
- Part Time / Full time contracts available
Hourly Rate of Pay: £14.27 per hour
Main function of the job:
- To lead the caring team, working with and supporting others as necessary.
- Maintain service users’ independence, autonomy and choice; promoting dignity and confidentiality at all times, in order to enable them to lead a full and active life.
- To deliver a high standard of personal care, and support and instruct less experienced staff to deliver care to the same standard.
- To administer medication in line with the home's medication policies, and update training as required.
- To help develop enriched care plans and provide a high standard of care to meet the needs of each and every service user.
- To assist and engage service users with their social activities and hobbies.
- To promote Park View as a centre of excellence in Person-Centred Care.
