Who We Are Looking For

  • You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting.
  • You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team.
  • You’ll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements.
  • We’d like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends.
  • An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll be responsible for our residents’ meal experience and running the nursing home’s kitchen. Leading and supporting a team, you will:

  • Designing a varied menu that reflects our residents’ tastes and supports their nutritional needs.
  • Ensuring mealtimes are always a high-quality experience.
  • Maintaining the highest food standards.
  • Supporting, training and directing the kitchen team
  • Mentoring and motivating on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Assisting the General Manager in developing and managing the budgetary, human and material resources within the department.
