Hours: 42 hours per week
Location: Cedar Court Care Home, Essex Dr, Cranleigh, GU6 8TX
At Cedar Court Care Home we are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Senior Care Assistant. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.
You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.
Responsibilities of the Senior Care Assistant: As a Senior Care Assistant you will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:
Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
Assisting with mealtimes
Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
Helping to maintain accurate records
Undertaking regular ongoing training
Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
Reviews with external health professionals
Lead the team of care assistants
Administer medication
