We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in long‑term care to lead and support our care team at Langford Park Nursing Home, Exeter.
Hours & Location
- Hours: (days, nights or bank contracts available). Paid breaks.
- Location: Langford Park Nursing Home, Langford Road, Exeter, EX5 5AG.
Qualifications
- Valid RGN NMC Registration.
- Previous experience in a similar setting (desirable but not essential).
- A minimum of 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation.
- Strong leadership, clinical skills, organisation and ability to take the lead.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of PCS and electronic care planning.
- Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
- Flexible approach to rota to meet the needs of the home.

How You’ll Make a Difference
- Provide high‑quality nursing care to residents.
- Responsible for clinical assessment of residents, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated, involving residents and users.
- Promote the rights, interests, needs, and choices of carers and people with dementia in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care and services.
- Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies, supporting residents.
- Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents/carers and the multi‑professional team, including situations where comprehension is difficult.
- Maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback appropriately and as required to carers and persons with dementia, and to referring agencies and professional colleagues.
- Utilise and ensure others utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
- Integrate into practice current knowledge of dementia and caring, informed by research and other evidence.
