We are looking for a reliable and proactive Yard Operative to join our team. In this busy and varied role, you'll help keep the yard and workshop running smoothly by ensuring all equipment is cleaned, maintained, organised and ready for hire. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in keeping things tidy and can work well both independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain welfare units and equipment.
- Prepare workshop and yard areas.
- Move, load and unload equipment.
- Support engineers in making the fleet available and recovering equipment.
- Prepare equipment for hire/sale and apply stickers/branding.
- Take photos of returned equipment.
- Carry out stock checks, inspections and basic maintenance.
- Keep walkways clear and follow Health & Safety procedures.
- General yard duties and acting as a responsible person on site.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and to a high standard.
