A new Senior National Account Manager (NAM) is required to manage the pure player accounts and provide support for Amazon. This initiative aims to support and drive the strategic growth plans for the e-commerce channel.
The Role:
- Sales and Business Planning
- Amazon main account responsibility - Responsible for all aspects of account management, business development strategy, performance analysis and reporting.
- Work with Amazon media team to gain consumer insights and evolve media strategy.
- Manage Amazon marketplace reseller policies with external agency, to ensure both online and in store businesses are set up for success.
- Develop promotional strategy inclusive of Subscribe and Save, coupons and other tactics during key time periods (Prime Day, Black Friday, etc).
- Deliver the strategy and drive long term growth in all pure player e-comm accounts e.g. TikTok, The Hut Group, and key strategic pure players as outlined by Weleda.
- Forecast – prepare value and volume forecasts by products and update on a rolling monthly basis.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain on specific requests and issues.
- Implement and manage the appropriate trading terms and price changes within the company guidelines.
- Range – develop the optimum range of new and core product distribution in accounts, ensuring NPD is listed and launched effectively.
- Customer Meetings – maintain regular face-to-face meetings with Buying and Supply contacts. Organise and lead annual strategy meetings with key contacts.
- Manage the agreed expenditure budgets for their customers and work closely with the marketing team to develop trade marketing activities.
- Work with the Sales Director on annual budgeting process.
- Provide Customer P&L and ROI for each key activity in their accounts and gain approval from Head of Sales UK.
- Work with the Customer Service team to resolve any complaints/issues.
- Report on account sales out data weekly, identifying key areas for action and development.
- Take ownership of sales reports and reviewing to make sure these are effective and meaningful.
Your Profile:
- 3-5 years experience as a National Account Manager, ideally within a Pharmacy, FMCG or Personal Care branded supplier business.
- Experience as a National Account in the e-commerce sector, ideally with Amazon and top beauty e-tailers experience.
- Experience in managing media agencies with an understanding of online and digital media and levers to drive performance.
- Experience of developing JBP’s essential.
- Strong record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Experience of setting, maintaining and achieving budgets both in turnover and in profit.
- Experience of managing margins, customer profitability and sales targets.
- Strong understanding of P&L’s.
- Proven track record in Sales.
- Classical sales training.
- Full, clean and valid driving licence.
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience of collaborating with Shopper insights and category management teams highly desirable.
- Ability to build and maintain good internal relationships.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Negotiation and account management skills.
This is a hybrid-based role, working three days a week at our Ilkeston office in Derbyshire.
