About Weldsafe
Established in 1982 and still privately owned, Weldsafe supplies welding equipment, welding/cutting consumables, hydraulic, electrical products and PPE alongside a busy Service Engineering department.
Our customers are across a broad range of industries, including fabrication, engineering, energy, shipbuilding, manufacturing, rail, space, construction, agriculture and motor vehicle repair.
We pride ourselves on our customer service, technical sales, quality of our products and a wide range of stock.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for:
- Promoting the Fronius brand on behalf of Weldsafe
- Finding new customers and opportunities across Scotland
- Being at the forefront of special projects
- Working with the internal sales team to respond to new leads
- Representation at trade shows
- Spotting opportunities for the wider Weldsafe range, including plasma cutting, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Consistently operating in a positive and professional manner, providing reliable and quality service to customers and maintaining good communication with colleagues.
- Field‑based role with occasional time in the office.
About You
We are looking for someone who is commercially driven and technically capable of selling a high‑end product.
- Proven experience in distribution sales within welding, cutting, or related industrial technologies preferred.
- Strong network and understanding of the industry.
- Confident in explaining technical products to all levels from non‑technical customers upwards.
- Self‑motivated, with the drive to knock on doors and grow the market.
- Organised to plan your week efficiently to maximise time with customers over driving.
- Passionate about the brand – product training from Fronius will be provided. The sales support is strong, with a Fronius professional demonstrator available to accompany you.
- Driving licence.
- Willing to travel in Scotland.
- Right to work in UK.
The Package
- Salary – £negotiable dependent on experience.
- Bonus scheme based on performance.
- Use of company vehicle provided.
- Mobile phone and laptop provided for business use.
- Working pattern: 08:30–17:00 Monday – Thursday, 08:30–16:00 Friday.
