We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HSEQ Manager/Yard Manager to join our team and support the continual improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
As HSEQ Manager/Yard Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations, supporting site teams, and driving a positive safety culture across the business. You will assist the Operations Director at Alfreton on a day to day basis with the smooth running and management of the crane yard staff ensuring that loading and distribution activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Carry out site inspections, audits, risk assessments and training.
- Advise and instruct on various HSEQ related topics such as working at heights, manual handling, noise levels, use of machinery, etc.
- Promote a positive safety culture through toolbox talks, training, and awareness campaigns.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards).
- Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and standards.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
- Strong communication, influencing and training skills.
- You must be able to work independently and travel to different sites when required.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
