Weldmar Hospicecare is seeking a Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our established, compassionate and forward‑thinking team, which provides the opportunity to practise high‑quality, patient‑centred care where time, continuity and multidisciplinary working are genuinely valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical leadership within the inpatient unit
- Deliver expert symptom control and holistic care for patients and those important to them
- Support and develop the wider multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to service development and clinical governance
- Work collaboratively across community and hospital interfaces
Requirements
- On the GMC Specialist Register in Palliative Medicine or a closely aligned specialty (or within six months of completion of CCST)
- An experienced clinician with strong decision‑making skills in complex and uncertain situations
- Committed to compassionate, patient‑centred care
- A collaborative leader who values multidisciplinary working
Hours
5 days (10 sessions) per week – part time considered. Participation in the on‑call rota 1 in 6.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required for this role.
