Role Purpose
As a Business Account Executive, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of small business customers accounts (less than 10 employees). You will build and nurture lasting rapport with customers, tailoring solutions to ensure their unique needs are met, while maximising sales by finding areas within the account to upsell and cross sell across Welcomm’s verticals, increasing monthly recurring revenue within your base.
Role Responsibilities
- Support and maintain a portfolio of small business customer accounts (less than 10 employees), ensuring regular contact to check satisfaction with current services and address any concerns.
- Proactively contact customers in line with contact strategy, arranging meetings via Teams or in person where appropriate.
- Responsible for creating and progressing new business opportunities within the account base by understanding customer needs and highlighting relevant products or services.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring Welcomm is front of mind when they are reviewing or renewing services.
- Prepare for customers meetings with support from Product Specialist by gathering relevant information and aligning proposed solutions with customer needs.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of services, keeping customers informed and supported throughout the process.
- Keep accurate records of all customer interactions and updates in the CRM system (Layer), supporting future engagement and opportunity tracking.
- Contribute to base development by staying alert to potential referrals, local opportunities, and customer expansion needs.
- Negotiate and closing deals to meet sales targets in alignment with the Head of Account Management and Welcomm’s goals.
- Deliver activity in line with Welcomm’s KPI expectations.
- Engage in training sessions (including CQMs), applying feedback and new knowledge to improve customer engagement and account coordination while working with the Head of Account Management to identify areas for personal development.
- Support a positive team culture and embrace the Welcomm values.
Education and Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in a B2B sales environment. (Essential)
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. (Essential)
- Face-2-Face customer sales experience. (Beneficial but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline (Beneficial but not required)
- Industry knowledge and experience with CRM systems (Beneficial but not required)
