Role Purpose
As an IT Pre-Sales Executive, you will play a key supporting role in our sales process, using your growing technical knowledge to help identify and propose solutions that align with our customers' needs. You will assist in managing the lifecycle of IT opportunities, from discovery to close, helping to ensure customer satisfaction and contributing to our overall sales success.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the lifecycle of IT opportunities from initial scoping and quoting to working alongside IT Engineers to help ensure successful project implementation.
- Support sales teams in identifying and preparing IT opportunities for both prospective and existing customers.
- Focus on cross-selling and upselling during renewal opportunities to increase Welcomm’s revenue.
- Participate in on-site and off-site customer meetings, leveraging technical expertise to maximise deal closures.
- Assist the sales team to drive business development through one-to-one workshop meetings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce marketing and sales collateral for the IT vertical.
- Develop IT training materials and deliver sessions to support ongoing internal development and new starter inductions.
- Take a commercially minded approach to all IT activities, ensuring alignment with revenue growth objectives and profitability.
- Contribute to Welcomm’s overall business performance through strategic sales, project delivery, and customer engagement.
- Stay informed about market trends and emerging products to provide management with recommendations for enhancing Welcomm’s portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Solutions Sales Manager to optimise IT focus and offerings, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Liaise with the Solutions Delivery team to review specifications and ensure smooth handover before project commencement.
- Create and maintain documentation for each project and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to support ongoing customer service and customer growth within Welcomm.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador, consistently embodying and promoting the company values.
Education and Skills/Qualifications
- Proven track-record in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within IT. (Essential)
- Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure (Servers, Endpoints, Networking), Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure) and Networking Concepts (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points). (Essential)
- Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems (Windows Desktop and Windows Server).
- Strong understanding of Virtualisation Technologies (such as Hyper-V and VMware). (Essential)
- A valid UK Driving Licence (Essential)
