Based in Ontario, the Contract Administrator, rcca, will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on administering MTO contracts. You will be part of a team that offers services primarily to the provincial government, administering large-scale construction projects on highways throughout Ontario. The team acts as a liaison between the Ministry of Transportation and the construction contractor undertaking the work, administering the construction contract, inspecting for adherence to specifications, handling quantity calculations, processing progress payments, etc.
What You’ll Do
- Administer Ministry of Transportation Contracts through monitoring, correspondence, and attending meetings
- Supervise inspection staff, provide necessary training, coordinate activities, and ensure timely deliverables
- Maintain client and contractor relationships
- Perform Quality Control of deliverables ensuring they are timely, complete, and meet Ministry standards, while ensuring all recordkeeping is thorough and accurate
- Undertake budget control, including working within an established budget, reviewing timesheets and monitoring expenses, ensuring all time and expenses are accounted for in the Weekly Status Reports, and bringing budget concerns to Project Manager
- Manage subconsultant agreements

What You Should Bring
- Minimum of 2 previous MTO or Municipal projects as Contract Administrator (5 is an asset)

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence and use of a personal vehicle
