Medical Receptionist – Join Our Exceptional Team at Swingbridge Surgery. This isn’t your ordinary reception job. At Swingbridge Surgery, you’ll be the friendly face our patients see first—and a vital part of keeping our practice running smoothly behind the scenes. If you’re organised, proactive, and enjoy variety, this role could be perfect for you. We're looking for a part-time receptionist to work 23.5 hours per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Welcome and support patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage appointments, patient enquiries, and messages
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as workflow management, scanning, handling patient letters, and results follow-up
  • Call patients to advise on results or schedule follow-up appointments
  • Handle samples and associated paperwork
  • Liaise with clinical teams, multidisciplinary colleagues, and external agencies

Working hours:

  • Monday 13:00-18:00
  • Tuesday 14:00-18:00
  • Wednesday 13:00-18:00
  • Friday 08:00-18:30

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in customer service or administration, face-to-face and over the phone
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office experience a bonus)
  • Experience with SystmOne preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly, professional, and organised
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • Team player willing to flex hours and duties to cover holidays and sickness
  • Post subject to satisfactory DBS check
