About The Role
As a PACS/Imaging Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of imaging systems and services, ensuring clinicians and teams can access accurate diagnostic information quickly and efficiently. You will act as a key point of contact for imaging related queries, providing first line technical and systems support across PACS, RIS, and associated platforms. Working closely with clinical and operational teams, you will contribute to service improvement, support the implementation of new technologies, and help enhance the overall patient and clinician experience. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for imaging system queries, incidents, and service requests, triaging and resolving issues to achieve first‑time fixes
- Provide first‑line support for PACS, RIS, and associated imaging systems and equipment
- Support the upload, download, and transfer of patient imaging across systems (e.g., PACS, IEP, CIMAR)
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards
- Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests, and system maintenance tasks
- Liaise with clinicians, radiographers, and administrative teams to support efficient patient pathways
- Support the implementation of new systems, technologies, and improved ways of working
- Assist with reporting, communications, and responding to urgent clinician and patient requests
- Escalate incidents, complaints, and risks appropriately in line with governance processes
- Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support service delivery and patient experience
About You
You are an IT‑savvy professional with experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment, ideally with exposure to imaging systems such as PACS or RIS. You bring strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced, demand‑led service. You are confident supporting users with varying levels of technical expertise and are able to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
