As part of the founding team, you will help shape the culture, embed best practice, and play a meaningful role in creating a Centre that patients trust and colleagues are proud to be part of.

About the role

As a key member of our Ophthalmology theatre team, the Scrub Nurse/Practitioner will play a central role in delivering safe, efficient and patient centred care. You will work closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure every procedure is prepared, supported and delivered to the highest clinical standards within our purpose‐built operating environment. • Support consultants during ophthalmic procedures and maintain safe patient positioning and handling.
  • Contribute to efficient theatre flow, including equipment management, consumables, and specimen handling.
  • Participate in mandatory safety checks, including WHO checklists, and uphold standards of patient dignity and privacy.
  • Accurately monitor and document patient condition, completing all records clearly and promptly.
  • Support junior team members where appropriate, promoting best practice and high‐quality care.
