About the role

As an Imaging & Diagnostics Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department's administrative functions, acting as a key link between patients, clinicians, and diagnostic teams. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage imaging bookings, process referrals, upload and update patient records, and ensure results and reports are handled promptly and securely. The role also requires strong adherence to governance and data protection standards, as well as proactive support for day‐to‐day departmental operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced clinical environment, is highly organised, and takes pride in supporting high‐quality patient care through exceptional administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional, and efficient front‐of‐house service for all imaging and diagnostics patients
  • Manage bookings, appointment scheduling, and administrative coordination for diagnostic services
  • Process referrals, imaging requests, and clinical documentation accurately and promptly
  • Support patients with queries, providing clear information and reassurance where required
  • Update and maintain electronic patient records and imaging systems to a high standard of accuracy
  • Liaise effectively with clinicians, radiographers, sonographers, and wider operational teams
  • Ensure timely distribution of imaging results, reports, and clinical correspondence
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and information governance standards
  • Support daily operational and governance tasks, including stock checks and equipment tracking
  • Assist with departmental projects, audits, and process improvements
  • Work flexibly to support service delivery and changing operational needs.

About you

You are an experienced and confident administrator with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service in a clinical environment. Highly organised and detail‐focused, you take pride in accurate record‐keeping, smooth coordination of tasks, and supporting both patients and clinical teams. You communicate clearly and professionally, adapting your approach to meet the needs of patients, clinicians, and colleagues. You are comfortable working with clinical systems, handling sensitive information, and managing multiple priorities in a fast‐paced setting. A proactive and supportive team player, you bring a positive attitude, strong problem‐solving skills, and a dedication to helping create an exceptional patient experience.
