This business specialises in delivering high-quality, bespoke fit-out projects across a variety of environments, including commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential spaces. Role Overview As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions in line with company objectives. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially viable and delivered efficiently. Key Responsibilities Estimating and Tendering: * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labour, materials, and equipment * Ensure all tenders are completed and submitted within deadlines * Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation * Identify risks and opportunities within tenders and recommend strategies * Carry out value engineering to optimise cost and profitability * Source and manage subcontractor and supplier quotations Client and Stakeholder Engagement: * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors * Attend meetings, site visits, and pre-tender discussions as required * Provide cost advice and support on project feasibility Process Improvement: * Develop and maintain effective estimating processes and systems * Monitor market trends to ensure competitive pricing * Review completed projects to improve future estimating accuracy * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure best practices are followed Compliance and Reporting: * Ensure all estimates comply with company policies and industry regulations * Produce reports on tender performance and pipeline activity * Maintain accurate records of all estimates and submissions What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in estimating within construction, engineering, or a related sector * Strong knowledge of estimating tools (e.g., Excel or similar software) * Excellent numerical and analytical skills * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications * Strong communication and negotiation skills * High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines * Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills What’s in It for You * £35000 - £45000 * Opportunity to join a growing and dynamic organisation * Long-term career progression opportunities * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Exposure to a diverse range of projects Equal Opportunities Our client is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
